About Eupithecia semigraphata Bruand, 1850

Eupithecia semigraphata Bruand, 1850 is a species of moth that belongs to the family Geometridae. This species ranges from most of Europe (excluding the Netherlands, Ireland, Great Britain, Denmark, Fennoscandia, the Baltic region and Portugal) east to the Caucasus and Armenia. It can also be found on the Canary Islands and in North Africa. The wingspan of adult Eupithecia semigraphata is approximately 18 to 20 mm. Adults are active from late June to August, and the species produces one generation per year. The larvae of this moth feed on the flowers of plants in the genera Calamintha (including Calamintha nepeta and Calamintha sylvatica), Hypericum, Origanum, and Thymus. Eupithecia semigraphata overwinters in the pupal life stage.
