About Eupithecia lanceata (Hübner)

Eupithecia lanceata is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. It occurs across most of the Palearctic realm, excluding the southern parts of the region. Its typical habitat is pine forests. The wingspan of adult moths ranges from 16 to 20 mm. This species produces one generation per year, and adults are active on the wing from April to May. The larvae feed on the foliage of Picea abies, Juniperus communis, and Larix decidua. Larvae of Eupithecia lanceata can be found in June, and the species overwinters in the pupal stage.
