About Euphyia molluginata (Hübner)

The moth species currently referenced here was originally described as Euphyia molluginata (Hübner), and is also known as Epirrhoe molluginata. It belongs to the moth family Geometridae. This species is distributed from the southern region of central Europe east to the Caucasus. Adults have a wingspan of approximately 23–27 mm. Adult moths are active in flight from May through July each year. The caterpillar larvae of this species feed on plants from the Galium genus, specifically including Galium mollugo and Galium sylvaticum. This species spends the winter in the pupal life stage.
