About Euphoria inda (Linnaeus, 1758)

Euphoria inda, commonly called the bumble flower beetle, brown fruit chafer, or Indian cetonia, is a species of beetle in the family Scarabaeidae. This species occurs in North America. When in flight, adult individuals of Euphoria inda do not lift their elytra. Vibrations of their hindwings moving inside the closed elytra produces a buzzing sound. Adult Euphoria inda act as pollinators, and they feed on pollen, nectar, plant sap, and damaged fruit.
