About Euphorbia magdalenae Benth.

Euphorbia magdalenae is a semi-succulent shrub belonging to the genus Euphorbia. Its common names are Magdalena Island spurge and golondrinón. This species is a local endemic, most often found growing on hillsides, arroyo beds, and bajadas in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, occurring specifically from the Vizcaíno area to the Cape Region. It can typically be found in desert or dry shrubland habitats, and it is distinguished by its unique leaf arrangement. It was first formally described in 1844 by English botanist George Bentham.
