About Euphorbia commutata Engelm. ex A.Gray
Euphorbia commutata, commonly known as tinted woodland spurge, is an annual plant species belonging to the family Euphorbiaceae. It is native to Eastern North America, where it grows in rich, calcareous forests and on rock outcrops. It produces small green flowers during the spring, which makes it easy to overlook. Its leaves are obovate in shape, arranged alternately on the stem, and the plant produces milky sap. Two varieties of Euphorbia commutata are sometimes recognized: Euphorbia commutata var. commutata and Euphorbia commutata var. erecta.
