About Eulophia streptopetala Lindl.

Eulophia streptopetala Lindl. is a species of orchid. It occurs naturally from Eritrea to South Africa, and is also found in Yemen. This widespread species typically grows at forest margins, in bushy scrub, or in grasslands, at elevations ranging from the coast up to 2550 meters above sea level. The plant produces a tall inflorescence that grows from a subterranean pseudobulb, and continues to produce new flowers over several months. Its flowers are approximately one centimetre in diameter, with yellow petals and brownish green striped sepals.
