Scientific name: Eudesmia menea (Drury, 1782)

Upperside description: The antennae are filiform (threadlike) and black. The head, thorax, and abdomen are yellow. Both sets of wings are yellow and black. The anterior forewings have two round black spots at the shoulders and two long black spots at the tips. The posterior hindwings have a broad black border that starts at the abdominal corners, runs around the edge of the wings, crosses the forewings, and ends at the anterior edges.

Underside description: The palpi and tongue are black. The legs are also black. The breast and abdomen are yellow. The wing colouring matches that of the upperside. The wing margins are entire. The wingspan of this species measures 2 inches, which equals 50 mm.
