About Eucrypta chrysanthemifolia (Benth.) Greene
Eucrypta chrysanthemifolia is one of just two species in the Eucrypta genus, all of which are sticky, aromatic annual herbs. This species grows an erect to leaning stem that reaches a maximum height well over 0.5 meters (1.6 feet). Its leaves are roughly oval in overall shape, but are intricately divided into many lobes that are further subdivided into many smaller lobes, giving the leaf a lacy texture. Leaves positioned higher up the stem have fewer of these dissected divisions. The inflorescence bears a number of small flowers, which droop as they grow heavier with developing fruit. Each flower is less than one centimeter long and usually whitish in color. The fruit is a bristly capsule around 3 millimeters wide.
