About Eucosma campoliliana (Denis & Schiffermüller), 1775

Eucosma campoliliana, described by Denis & Schiffermüller in 1775, is a species of moth in the family Tortricidae. Its known distribution includes Europe, the Chinese provinces of Jilin and Heilongjiang, Japan, and Russia. This moth has a wingspan that ranges from 13 to 18 mm. Its head is covered in white hairs, and its black thorax bears white spots along its sides. The forewings have a snow-white base color, with an interrupted light brown cross-band running through their middle, and most of the wing tip is brown. Small black spots are present in patches at the base and outer part of the forewings. The hindwings are a light grey-brown shade. In western Europe, adult moths fly from June through August. The larvae feed on Jacobaea vulgaris and plants from the genus Tephroseris.
