Euclea divinorum, which goes by the common names diamond leaf, diamond-leaved euclea, magic guarri, and toothbrush tree, is a flowering plant species in the genus Euclea. It is native to eastern and southern Africa. It grows as a shrub or a small tree. It has many uses across Africa: it is a source of dye for wool, material for tanning leather, and a source of ink; it acts as a preservative for milk that allows milk to stay good for up to a year; and chewing one of its twigs uses it as a toothbrush.
