It has a wingspan ranging from 40 to 47 millimetres, which equals 1.6 to 1.9 inches. Adult Euchlaena serrata are active in flight from April through August each year. The larvae of this moth feed on plant species from the genera Pyrus, Malus, Acer, and Vaccinium.
