Erythronium umbilicatum, commonly called the dimpled trout lily, is a species of flowering plant in the lily family. It is native to the Southeastern United States, where it grows mainly in the Piedmont and Southern Appalachian regions. It has been recorded in West Virginia, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Erythronium umbilicatum is a spring ephemeral, and its preferred habitat is forests. It produces egg-shaped bulbs that can grow up to 25 centimeters long. Its leaves are mottled and reach up to 20 centimeters in length. The scape grows up to 20 centimeters long, and bears a single yellow flower; the tepals sometimes have brown spots.
