About Erythronium klamathense Applegate

Erythronium klamathense Applegate is a perennial herb that grows from a bulb. It typically produces two narrow, wavy-edged leaves that can reach up to 17 centimeters in length. Its inflorescence grows on an erect stalk that reaches up to 20 centimeters tall, and each stalk bears between one and three flowers. The flower's tepals measure 2 to 3 centimeters long; they are white with yellow bases, and turn pinkish as the flower ages. Long, protruding stamens hold large pale yellow anthers.
