About Erysiphe convolvuli DC.

This fungus, Erysiphe convolvuli DC., forms thin, white, irregular patches on the leaves of its host plants. Like most species in the Erysiphaceae family, Erysiphe convolvuli is highly host-specific, and only infects plants from a small number of genera: specifically Convolvulus and Calystegia. There is also one existing record of this species infecting Ipomoea that was originally reported as Erysiphe convolvuli, but this case may instead be an unknown, closely related species.
