Erysimum asperum, commonly called western wallflower, shares this common name with Erysimum capitatum. It is a flowering plant species belonging to the mustard family, Brassicaceae. This species is native to west-central Canada, west-central United States, and northern Mexico, where it grows in grasslands that are generally located east of the Continental Divide and west of the Mississippi River. It is classified as a member of the Erysimum asperum-Erysimum capitatum species complex.
