About Erynnis pacuvius (Lintner, 1878)

Erynnis pacuvius, commonly called Pacuvius duskywing, Dyar's duskywing, or buckthorn dusky wing, is a species of skipper butterfly belonging to the family Hesperiidae. This species is distributed in southern British Columbia and across most of the western United States. Its wingspan measures 29 to 33 millimeters. In the northern parts of its range, the flight period occurs between June and July, while populations in the southern parts produce a second generation. The larvae of this butterfly feed on Ceanothus species.
