About Eriogonum ursinum S.Watson
This is an uncommon perennial herb that forms mats of leaves from a woody caudex. Its base spreads to 60 centimeters wide, and it produces upright inflorescences that can grow up to 40 centimeters high. The leaves are pale green to yellowish, woolly, and reach up to roughly two centimeters in length. The compound inflorescence consists of clusters of pale yellow to pale pink flowers, which grow atop long, bare stems.
