About Eriogonum longifolium var. gnaphalifolium Gand.
Eriogonum longifolium, commonly known as longleaf eriogonum or long-leaf wild buckwheat, is a dicot plant in the Polygonaceae family. Populations of the nominotypical E. longifolium var. longifolium occur in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Other varieties or subspecies of this species are geographically isolated, and face varying degrees of endangerment. The leaves of Eriogonum longifolium are lanceolate, oblanceolate, or oblong in shape, and covered in a tomentose coating. The plant produces flowering stems that can reach up to 17 decimeters (67 inches) tall.
