About Eriogonum bicolor M.E.Jones

Eriogonum bicolor M.E.Jones, commonly called E. bicolor, is a perennial herbaceous shrub. It grows up to 10 cm (4 inches) tall and can reach 30 cm (12 inches) across. Its flowers are pink and white, measure approximately 0.75 cm (0.30 inches) wide, and bloom between April and July. This species is native to central Utah and far western Colorado in the United States. It grows in silty, sandy, or heavy clay substrates found in washes, flats, and slopes. It occurs in saltbush and blackbrush communities, as well as juniper or pinyon-juniper woodlands, at elevations ranging from 1,300 m (4,265 ft) to 2,300 m (7,546 ft).
