About Eriogonum baileyi S.Watson
Eriogonum baileyi S.Watson is a species of wild buckwheat, commonly known as Bailey's buckwheat. It is native to the western United States, where it is a common component of local flora across several types of sandy habitats, including desert and sagebrush environments. This species is an annual herb. It grows a spreading to erect stem that is often covered in woolly hairs, and can reach up to around half a meter in height. Its woolly, round leaves grow at the base of the plant. The flowering structure is a branching cyme that holds many clusters of small individual flowers. Each individual flower measures 1 to 2 millimeters wide, and is white or pink in color.
