Erinnyis oenotrus Cramer, 1780, commonly called the Oenotrus sphinx, is a moth species that belongs to the family Sphingidae. This moth occurs in tropical and subtropical lowland habitats across Paraguay, Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina, with its range extending northward through Central America, Mexico, and the West Indies. Occasional stray individuals of this species have also been recorded in Florida and southern Texas.
