About Erigeron foliosus (Phil.)

Erigeron foliosus is an erect, clumping, branching perennial daisy that grows from woody roots. It reaches heights between 20 centimeters (7.9 inches) and 1 meter (3.3 feet). Unlike many other fleabanes, its leaves are evenly spaced along the entire stem. Leaves can be thready in shape, or wide and flat, and measure between 1 and 7 centimeters (0.39 to 2.76 inches) long. At the tip of each branch of the leafy stem sits an inflorescence holding one to several flower heads. Each flower head is 1 to 1.5 centimeters (0.59 inches) wide. The center of the head is made up of golden yellow disc florets, surrounded by a fringe of up to 60 pale to medium purple ray florets.
