About Ericameria teretifolia (Durand & Hilg.) Jeps.

Ericameria teretifolia, commonly called green rabbitbrush, is a North American flowering plant species belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is native to the southwestern United States, specifically southern and eastern California, southern Nevada, and northwestern Arizona. This species is a shrub that can grow up to 150 cm (5 feet) tall. Its leaves are thread-shaped and terete, meaning they are round in cross-section and taper very gradually; the species epithet teretifolia translates to "with terete leaves". A single individual can produce many small yellow flower heads. Each flower head contains 5 to 7 disc florets and has no ray florets. This plant grows in desert regions, occurring on flat plains, rocky slopes, and canyon walls.
