About Ericameria brachylepis (A.Gray) H.M.Hall

Ericameria brachylepis is a bushy shrub that reaches 100 to 200 centimeters (40 to 80 inches) in height. Its branches are covered in thready leaves, which grow up to 2.5 centimeters (1.0 inch) long. The plant produces an inflorescence made up of a cluster of flower heads. Each individual flower head is lined with phyllaries and resin glands. Every flower head contains several yellow disc florets, and has no ray florets. The fruit produced by this species is a small achene, capped with a white pappus.
