Erica plukenetii is a species of flowering plant in the genus Erica, native to the Cape region of South Africa. This species is morphologically variable, and five subspecies are currently recognized. Four of these subspecies—E. plukenetii ssp. plukenetii, E. plukenetii ssp. bredensis, E. plukenetii ssp. lineata, and E. plukenetii ssp. penicellata—produce larger, variably coloured flowers, which are pollinated by sunbirds. The fifth subspecies, E. plukenetii ssp. breviflora, has smaller, all-white flowers that are pollinated by moths.
