About Erica nevillei L.Bolus

Erica nevillei, commonly known as the red rock-heath, is a plant species in the genus Erica that grows as part of fynbos vegetation. This species is endemic to South Africa’s Western Cape. It is found on the Cape Peninsula, specifically at Noordhoek Peak, Chapmans Peak, Constantiaberg, and the Kalk Bay Mountains. The species sprouts new growth in response to stimulation from veld fires, and its native habitat remains secure due to the frequent fires that occur on Table Mountain.
