About Erica halicacaba L.
Erica halicacaba, commonly known as bladder-heath or gooseberry heath, is a plant species in the genus Erica. It is a component of the fynbos vegetation type. This species is endemic to South Africa's Western Cape province, where it grows on the southern side of Table Mountain within the Cape Peninsula. Although Erica halicacaba is a rare species, its habitat in rock crevices means it is not threatened by wildfires.
