About Erica brachialis Salisb.

Erica brachialis, commonly known as the hairy-tube heath, is a plant species in the Erica genus that is part of the fynbos biome. This species is endemic to the Western Cape province of South Africa, where it occurs on the Cape Peninsula and in the area extending from Rooiels to Hangklip. There are currently only 1200 mature individuals distributed across six distinct subpopulations. The species' native habitat faces ongoing threats from coastal development, uncontrolled veld fires, and invasive plant species.
