About Eremobia ochroleuca (Denis & Schiffermüller), 1775
This is the technical description and variation of Eremobia ochroleuca (recorded as E. ochroleuca Esp. (41b)). The forewing is white, suffused with pale olive brown. The lines are broadly white; the inner and outer lines generally coalesce along the submedian fold, and the outer line is denticulate on its outer side. The median area is often darker brown with a somewhat blackish tinge, especially in males. The orbicular stigma is pale olive, while the reniform stigma is white with an ochreous centre. The submarginal line is whitish, indented on each fold, and preceded by dark brown scaling at those indentations. There is a row of dark marginal lunules, and the fringe is ochreous with two outer rows of dark lunules. The hindwing is ochreous, dusted with luteous grey; it has a dark cell spot and an outer line, followed by a pale space before the broad fuscous marginal border, and the hindwing fringe is white. The larva is pale green with whitish lines; it has a broad white lateral line with a blackish lower edge, black spiracles, a pale brown head, and blackish tubercles. The wingspan of the species is 34–37 mm.
