Eragrostis amabilis is a bunchgrass species belonging to the subfamily Chloridoideae of the grass family Poaceae. It is native to Africa and southern Asia. This species has several taxonomic synonyms: Eragrostis tenella Benth., Eragrostis elegans Nees, and Eragrostis interrupta Lam. Döll. Eragrostis amabilis is cultivated as a drought-tolerant ornamental grass for garden use. The scientific name referenced in the heading, Eragrostis tenella (L.) P.Beauv. ex Roem. & Schult., is a related synonym for this taxon.
