Eragrostis secundiflora J.Presl, also known by the synonym Eragrostis oxylepis and the common name red lovegrass, is a flowering plant species belonging to the grass family Poaceae. It is native to the central and southern United States, Mexico, and northern South America. This perennial grass grows to a maximum height of 70 cm (28 in). It typically grows in prairies and open woodlands, most often in sandy soils. The seeds of Eragrostis secundiflora are considerably larger than the seeds of other species in the Eragrostis genus.
