About Epocilla blairei Żabka, 1985

Epocilla blairei is a species that has the characteristic features of the genus Epocilla. Males of this species have distinctive palpal organs: these organs have a double tibial apophysis, a rounded outgrowth on the bulbus surface, and a long, broad, sinuous embolus. Females have an epigyne with an oval incision located on the side of the epigastric furrow, along with oval spermathecae, well-developed accessory glands, and well-developed fertilization canals. Copulatory canals are not visible in females, a trait that distinguishes Epocilla blairei from its related species. The species has been recorded across a range from Taiwan to Vietnam, and has also been observed in Thailand.
