Epirrhoe galiata (Denis & Schiffermüller), 1775, is a moth species. This species has a wingspan that can reach 28–32 mm. The forewings have a pale grey ground color, with a broad, darker bluish-grey central band, and also have small dark grey or bluish-grey stains near the apex. The hindwings are pale whitish-grey, marked with fine crosslines. Its larvae are brown with dark and light longitudinal stripes; they are mostly naked, with only a few short bristles. This species is distributed from North Africa and western Europe to the Russian Far East. Its preferred habitats are lime and chalk downland, sunny woodland fringes, dry meadows, grassy heathlands, glades, forest clearings, moorlands, sea-cliffs, and xerophilous hillsides.
