About Epipactis leptochila (Godfery) Godfery

Epipactis leptochila (Godfery) Godfery, commonly known as the narrow-lipped helleborine, is an orchid species belonging to the genus Epipactis. It grows in chalk or limestone-based beech and hornbeam woodland in southern England and Wales, and also occurs in parts of northern Europe. Its blooming period runs from early June to mid-August. In the United Kingdom, habitat loss has caused the species to become scarce and declining, and it is mainly found in the Cotswolds and the Chiltern Hills.
