Epinotia thapsiana is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. It was first described by Philipp Christoph Zeller in 1847. This species can be found in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Russia, Asia Minor, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, China (specifically Tianjin, Zhejiang, Anhui, Guizhou, and Shaanxi), and Korea. The wingspan of adult Epinotia thapsiana ranges from 13 to 16 mm. Adults have two generations per year, and can be seen flying from May to June, and again from July to August. The larvae of Epinotia thapsiana feed on a variety of herbaceous plant species, including species from the genera Thapsia, Ferrula, Crithmum, Ligustrum, Laserpitium, and Foeniculum.
