About Epilobium collinum C.C.Gmel.

Epilobium collinum C.C.Gmel. is easily confused with Epilobium montanum and the very rare Epilobium lanceolatum. It can be told apart from these two species by the lack of erect glandular trichomes on its calyx and fruit; these trichomes are present on both Epilobium montanum and Epilobium lanceolatum. It is a rare species. Its native range extends from Europe to Western Siberia. Within Croatia, it is only found in the western part of the country, in the Mountain and West Pannonian macroregions, and may also occur in the East Pannonian macroregion. It grows on silicate substrates, including in wet locations.
