Epilachna borealis, the squash beetle, is a species of phytophagous lady beetle that is commonly found in the eastern United States. This beetle is yellow, with seven large black spots on each elytron and four small black spots on the pronotum. It feeds on cucurbitaceous plants. Due to its similar appearance, it is often mistaken for other types of ladybug or for the cucumber beetle.
