About Epidendrum difforme Jacq.

Epidendrum difforme, commonly called the "Differently Formed Epidendrum", is a species of orchid belonging to the genus Epidendrum. In 1861, Müller classified this species in the subsection Umbellata, within section Planifolia, subgenus Euepidendrum Lindl. of the genus Epidendrum. Studies have determined the diploid chromosome number of E. difforme to be both 2n = 40 and 2n = 39.
