About Entomogramma fautrix Guenée, 1852

Entomogramma fautrix is a species of moth in the family Noctuidae, first formally described by Achille Guenée in 1852. This species is distributed in Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Bangladesh. The wingspan of male individuals of Entomogramma fautrix measures 45 mm. The moth's body is fuscous brown, with a blackish head. On its forewing, a fulvous and dark streak runs below the subcosta. The basal portion of the forewing costa is purplish, and a single black spot is present at the end of the cell. Both the forewings and hindwings have a fine marginal ochreous line. The underside of the wings is fuscous, with orange coloration present on the costal and outer areas.
