About Enargia infumata Grote, 1874

Enargia infumata, commonly known as the lesser eyed sallow, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. In eastern North America, its distribution ranges from Alaska and New Brunswick to Ontario, extending south to Connecticut. In western North America, it occurs from Saskatchewan and Alberta south to Utah and California. Adult moths of this species are active between June and September. This species produces one new generation per year. The larvae of Enargia infumata feed on the leaves of Populus tree species, and may also feed on the leaves of willow and birch species.
