About Eleocharis interstincta (Vahl) Roem. & Schult.
Eleocharis interstincta is a rhizomatous herb. Its stems are 40 - 90 cm tall, terete, and strongly partitioned. The sheaths are membranous, ranging from reddish - brown to dark red or black, with indistinct veins. The spikelets are 1.5 - 5.5 cm long and cylindrical; the glumes are veined, pale brown or grayish. The fruits are obovoid achenes, yellow, ocher, or gray.
