About Echeveria hyalina E.Walther
Echeveria hyalina E.Walther is a succulent native to a limited range of upland habitats in central Mexico, and it is grown as a garden plant in other regions outside its native range. Cultivators value it for its compact rosette growth form, grayish-green leaves, and easy care requirements. Multiple horticultural forms have been bred that change the appearance of the original wild species. In its wild habitat, Echeveria hyalina grows on rocky slopes within oak and coniferous forests and subalpine meadows, at elevations ranging from 1800 to 3400 meters, or 5900 to 11,150 feet. When classified as a separate species from Echeveria simulans, the natural range of Echeveria hyalina is restricted to the central highland mountains of the Mexican states of Guanajuato, Hidalgo, and Querétaro.
