Ecdytolopha insiticiana, commonly known as the locust twig borer, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. It is distributed across North America, with recorded occurrences in Pennsylvania, Iowa, West Virginia, Arkansas, Massachusetts, New York, and Ontario. This moth has a wingspan that ranges from 20 to 25 millimeters. Adult locust twig borers are active in flight from May through August each year. The larvae of Ecdytolopha insiticiana feed on Robinia pseudoacacia, and they develop within the stem pith of host plant seedlings, stump sprouts, and new stem growth on older trees.
