Introduction: Dysschema thetis, commonly called the northern giant flag moth, is a moth species that belongs to the family Erebidae. This species was first formally described by Johann Christoph Friedrich Klug in 1836. Its distribution ranges from the south-western United States to north-western Mexico. The wingspan of this moth measures between 85 and 95 mm. The larvae of Dysschema thetis feed on species from the plant family Asteraceae.
