About Dysphania sagana (Druce, 1883)

Dysphania sagana (Druce, 1883) has distinct wing coloration and patterning. The basal half of its forewings is chrome yellow, and the outer half is bluish black, crossed by two bands of semitransparent white spots. Its hindwings are chrome yellow, with a black spot at the end of the cell. The apex of the hindwings and a submarginal row of spots on the hindwings are black. The moth's head, thorax, and abdomen are yellow. Larvae of this species have been recorded feeding on plants of the genus Carallia.
