About Dysphania pumilio (R.Br.) Mosyakin & Clemants

Dysphania pumilio (R.Br.) Mosyakin & Clemants is an aromatic annual herb that grows in an erect habit. It produces sticky, glandular stems that reach a maximum height of approximately 25 centimeters. Its leaves are alternately arranged along stems, growing up to 2 centimeters in length, with a shape ranging from lance-shaped to oval. Leaf edges bear bumpy lobes, and the leaf surface is covered in white sticky glands and sparse hairs. Its inflorescence forms as a spherical cluster of densely packed tiny green flowers, positioned in the leaf axils. Each individual flower has a pebbly texture from glands, and covers the developing fruit as it matures.
