About Dysphania percota (Swinhoe, 1891)

Dysphania percota (Swinhoe, 1891) is similar in appearance to Dysphania palmyra, but can be distinguished by key differences in wing traits. The entire apical region of its forewings is deep purple, extending from the discocellular spot and postmedial line out to the outer wing margin. On these forewings, there are two small blue spots located below the sub-costals, and one additional small blue spot on the inner margin near the outer angle of the wing. The hindwings of Dysphania percora never show any trace of yellow coloration. The larvae of this species feed on plants belonging to the genus Carallia.
