About Dysphania multifida (L.) Mosyakin & Clemants
Dysphania multifida (L.) Mosyakin & Clemants is a flowering plant species in the family Amaranthaceae, commonly called cutleaf goosefoot and scented goosefoot. It is native to South America, but has been introduced and established on most continents. It grows readily across many habitat types, including disturbed areas such as roadsides. This plant is an annual herb. Its stems vary in shape, reach up to roughly 60 centimeters in length, branch, and grow either upright or flat along the ground. Its oblong, glandular leaves are up to 2 centimeters long, and bear several lobes along each edge. Inflorescences grow in leaf axils; they are spherical, around half a centimeter long, and also form panicle clusters at the tips of stem branches. Each inflorescence is a dense cluster of tiny flowers that surrounds the developing fruit.
