About Drosera stricticaulis (Diels) O.H.Sargent

Drosera stricticaulis, commonly known as the erect sundew, is an erect perennial tuberous carnivorous plant belonging to the genus Drosera. It is native to Australia, and occurs most commonly near watercourses and granite outcrops growing in sandy clay or loam in Western Australia. It has also been recorded in parts of South Australia, specifically on the lower Eyre Peninsula and at the summit of Dutchmans Stern in the southern Flinders Ranges. The species produces small, cup-shaped carnivorous leaves along green, glandular stems that can reach 25 cm (10 inches) in height. Its pink flowers bloom between July and October.
